JAMMU. Shaikshik Mahasangh Jammu and Kashmir affiliated to Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh met worthy Director School Education Department and discussed some burning issues of Teacher with regard to Transfer Policy and DPC.

The delegation was led by ABRSM State General Secretary Rattan Sharma and State vice President Gulshan Raina.

It is pertinent to mention here that School Education Department has formulated new transfer policy and issued some guidelines regarding the policy.The Department has already invited applications from all cadres of education department through online mode.However five (5) zones in each district has been created keeping in view feasibility, distance,medical condition, gender and other condition to transfer them from one zone to another zone .

ABRS however complained that zonation of districts into five zones is not suitable for all districts as some districts Like Kishtwar, Doda,Ramban,Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi have hilly terrains and lack road connectivity.It seems that zonation has been done keeping in view relief structure of one district only and have neglected the other districts.

the delegation urged upon the government to implement the policy in letter and spirit so that influential persons placed at prime locations for last so many years, be transmitted to other places. It was also demanded that those who have managed attachments and deployments in various offices making the education system defunct, should be immediately relieved and transferred. It is pertinent to mention that a large number of Teachers after managing such deployments even their places of postings are under staff, have been working in offices for last so many years. A similar transparent policy for RReTs (Now general line teachers) was also demanded as a number of such teachers particularly females who have been married to other places are suffering.

Moreover, DPC of Teacher’s to Masters is still pending from 2014 ,as no such DPC has been done by the department despite many representations made by ABRSM and other associations of education department.

ABRSM urged upon the DSE to initiate DPC of PG Teachers/Masters to Subjects like Functional English, Geology, Agriculture, whose final seniority lists have been released many times .

The other members of ABRSM who who were present in the meeting include Rajinder Singh Sr Lecturer, Bharat Bhushan Distt President Rajouri, Sanjeev Dutta Distt President Poonch, Pawan Sharma, State Seh Media Prabhari,Vipan Sharma State prashikshan pramukh, Rahul Kumar Secretary Jammu Distt, Ved Sharma and Naresh Singh vice Presidents Jammu Distt, Ravinder Kumar Distt Samba, and Rakesh Kumar Member State Executive. Director gave a very patient hearing to issues raised by the delegation and assured that he will take up the matter with higher ups and try his best to do justice with all the stake holders. He told the delegation that department is working day and night for completing promotions of Teachers to masters and will take up the issue of promotion of PG masters and teachers to Lecturers in various disciplines.
